Led by Nisha Ashish Jain, a trained classical dancer and choreographer, Thirkan continues to be a hub for artistic excellence, discipline, and cultural learning.
Nisha Ashish Jain is the passionate Founder and Artistic Director of Thirkan – An Institute of Dance & Music, with thriving roots in Noida, India and a growing presence in Discovery Gardens, Dubai. She is a trained Kathak dancer from the Pandit Birju Maharaj Parampara and an educational partner of the Shinjini Kulkarni Academy.
With over a decade of experience in teaching classical, folk, Bollywood, and Garba dance, Nisha has choreographed and mentored students across India and the UAE. Her vision is to make Indian classical and folk arts accessible to everyone, especially children and women, by blending traditional teaching with modern flair.
She also works as a freelance dance choreographer, emcee, and cultural event consultant in Dubai, and is regularly invited as a judge and special guest at prestigious dance events in India.
To preserve, promote, and pass on Indian dance traditions to the next generation—both in India and internationally.
